The Toast of Surrey Business Awards returns with a bang next month, and with anticipation rising, companies are getting ready to be rewarded at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge on the 27 June. Getting involved as Headline Sponsors at this year’s event is Bizpedia.
The company are an exclusive business club for the region’s biggest business personalities, and work with some of Surrey’s most popular organisations. Dominic Jordan is the company’s CEO and he discussed why they decided to come on board with the awards. He said: “Bizpedia’s purpose is to help business leaders grow themselves, and their businesses, as such it is a perfect fit for us to get involved with the Toast of Surrey Business Awards as Headline Sponsor, supporting and celebrating business leaders and their businesses within the Surrey region.”
With 14 categories up for grabs at the awards, the evening offers the opportunity for all companies to be acknowledged, irrespective of their size or industry. Dominic emphasised the other benefits the awards bring to the region. He said: “The awards benefit the region in a number of ways. They help with PR, branding, and awareness of the local business community through raising the profile of business in the area, connecting leading businesses to work together to their mutual benefits, as well as networking opportunities. The night showcases the best businesses the region has to offer, which creates increased exposure, activity, tangible business opportunities and income into the region.”
He continued: “The Toast of Surrey Business Awards also benefits our business, by enabling us to align ourselves with the best businesses the region has to offer, also by adding value to our members by involving them in the event and by enabling us to support, be visible and add value to the region and community we do business in ourselves.”
Local business success can have wide reaching positives for the entire region, and Dominic highlighted why it is so important to celebrate the community’s business success. He said: “It is important to celebrate other business success, for inspiration and motivation to achieve success for our own business, to celebrate what we all want to see more of, businesses within the region doing well, providing outstanding services and creating a thriving business community for all to prosper from.”
This year’s awards ceremony is now just over a month away and will be hosted by comedian Mark Dolan and British badminton sensation Gail Emms MBE.
As well as providing the opportunity to shine a spotlight on those businesses who have made a big impact on the community, the awards also offer the chance to raise much needed funds for a deserving cause. Lord’s Taverners are a leading cricket and youth sport charity who support disabled and disadvantaged children with a range of sporting initiatives. The event will raise money for the charity through a game of stand-up bingo and a silent auction.
