Being able to provide a high level of customer service is one of the most important aspects for all businesses and is something that is set to be acknowledged at the Toast of Surrey Business Awards 2018. Going above and beyond to ensure the customer has a positive experience, the ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ will reward a local company who has strived to achieve this.
One of 14 fantastic awards on offer at the ceremony, the ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ will be sponsored by payment technology firm Global Payments. Working with businesses of all sizes, Global Payments offers solutions to help people make and organise payments over the phone, in person and online. Just some of the sectors they work in include education, hospitality and insurance.
Chris Davies is President Europe at Global Payments and discussed why they chose to sponsor the Customer Service Excellence category: “When we saw the judging criteria of the Customer Service Excellence Award, we felt an instant connection! We place the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are truly committed to a relentless focus on the customer - that's why we create solutions that help businesses to take care of their customers, while we take care of payments.”
Based in the East Midlands, Global Payments has grown significantly in recent years and in 2018 will be focusing on their international payments system. Using state-of-the-art technology, the company provide services across Europe, America and Asia. Despite their global reach, the company remain true to their local roots and Chris explained how they contribute to the regional business community. He said: “Consumer payment preferences are constantly evolving - just look at recent innovations such as Apple Pay and Contactless, which have effectively transformed how consumers pay today.
“Payment technology moves fast - and local businesses need to adapt to new payment methods, or they will lose out to competitors - simple as that. That's where we come in, we understand and deliver the latest payment systems to help our customers accept every payment - and ultimately help them to grow.”
Global Payments will be amongst the category sponsors handing out the coveted award at the ceremony which takes place on 27 June at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge. A standout moment on the region’s business calendar, the awards represent an opportunity to celebrate and reward local businesses for all the success they have achieved in the last year.
